We are planning/ hoping to be able to provide COVID-19 vaccines to our ESTABLISHED patients.

Timing of this is uncertain due to the enormous logistical challenges for a small practice such as ours.

However, we are making progress!

Unfortunately, as of January 11, 2021, it is looking more like a late January time frame to be able to start vaccinating patients

Please be patient, and in the meantime, please continue to mask, stay home as much as possible, keep your distance if you must go out, and please wash your hands.

We will update here as we know more.

Thank you.

Texas Sports & Family Medicine is a medical practice at 3200 Red River in Austin, Texas.

We are  Mark Hutchens, MD, Robyn McCarty, MD, and Tim Vachris, MD.  We have more than 50 years of aggregate experience in sports medicine.  We are all board certified in Family Medicine, have completed a fellowship in sports medicine, and have earned the Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine.

The practice keeps pace with the dynamics of the Austin area by treating patients from a central Austin location. The medical practice office is located just north of the UT campus near St. David's Medical Center off of I-35 in The Park at Red River Professional Building.

Mark Hutchens, MD and Tim Vachris, MD  are accepting new patients. Robyn McCarty, MD is accepting new Sports Medicine patients; she accepts new Family Medicine patients only upon referral from current patients and healthcare professionals.

Our experience means that Texas Sports & Family Medicine is thoroughly qualified to provide unsurpassed care to all our patients' musculoskeletal and primary care needs.
